With deep experience across New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia, North Asia, Europe and the US, Tim works with both government and business to solve complex challenges. He advises on trade strategy, foreign investment, government relations, international engagement, and innovation, working with clients ranging from NZTE, MFAT and Treasury to global multinationals like Procter & Gamble and Reckitt.
As a regular New Zealand Herald columnist, Tim makes sense of shifting geopolitics, economic trends and business strategy. He’s also a trusted MC and moderator, known for leading high-impact events like the China Business Summit, US Business Summit, and the Mood of the Boardroom.
Tim convenes the judging of the 2degrees Auckland Business Awards and serves on the Asia New Zealand Foundation’s Leadership Network. He holds a Master of Bioscience Enterprise (Hons) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Auckland, and completed the Te Kākano Māori language programme (with distinction) at AUT.
