The events I MC tend to deal in serious subject matter — trade policy, geopolitics, capital markets, the future of New Zealand’s economy.

I consider my job to make sure the conversations that matter actually land.

I come to every event having done the work. I know the speakers, I’ve read the briefs, and I understand the room. Whether that’s a Prime Minister and an EU Trade Commissioner at a bilateral summit, a Finance Minister and Opposition spokesperson debating before 200 CEOs, or an awards night where the winner has been waiting all evening to hear their name.

I’ve been MC and moderator for some of New Zealand’s most significant business events — many have been ongoing relationships for 10 years or more.

  • China Business Summit (2018–2025) — One of New Zealand’s largest annual business conferences, featuring the Prime Minister, Trade Minister, Chinese Ambassador and top business leaders
  • United States Business Summit (2022–2025) — Featuring the Prime Minister, Trade Minister, US Ambassador and senior business leaders
  • European Union–New Zealand Business Summit (2025) — Convened by the EU in New Zealand, bringing together the Prime Minister, EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, Ministers, Ambassadors and business leaders to explore trade, investment and innovation between New Zealand and Europe
  • ASEAN Forum (2025) — Focused on economic, trade and people-to-people partnerships within the ASEAN–NZ relationship
  • APEC CEO Summit (2021) — Moderated sessions including a discussion with Jerome Foster II, youngest-serving member of the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council. Moderated a panel discussion at the conclusion of the Summit, asking ‘What have we learnt?
  • APEC Voices of the Future Summit (2021) — Conversations with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and business leaders from across the 21 APEC economies
  • Standing in the Future: NZ and the Indo-Pacific Region (2021) — New Zealand Institute of International Affairs conference on geopolitics, sustainability and geo-economics, including interviews with Prime Minister Ardern and White House Indo-Pacific Coordinator Kurt Campbell

Gala Dinners

  • Deloitte Top 200 Awards (2020) — New Zealand’s premier business awards evening
  • NZ–ASEAN Business Alliance Gala Dinner (2023, Kuala Lumpur) — Hosted the awards ceremony alongside the ASEAN–NZ Summit, organised by SEA CAPE and the Malaysia NZ Chamber of Commerce
  • Matariki Gala Dinner (2024, Sarawak, Borneo) — Hosted senior Sarawak government officials and NZ business and alumni communities
